Changelog

0.1.0

  • Project skeleton: build, headless GameTests and release workflow.
  • Crops: red grape and hop bushes (planted from the produce, picked with a right-click like sweet berries), barley on farmland, and wild grapes, hops and barley in the world.
  • With Farmer’s Delight: ripe grape and hop bushes climb FD ropes and fruit along them; FD rich soil speeds them up.
  • Farm life: bees help the crops grow, barley feeds animals like wheat, farmers grow barley, foxes pick ripe grapes, everything composts, and there are a Grape Crate, a Hops Crate and a Barley Bale.
  • Serene Seasons and Biomes O’ Plenty support through tags.
  • Tipsy: a sway that grows with every level, darker screen edges, heavy-eyed blinks from level 3 (client option visionEffects), queasy spells that come more often the drunker you are, and from Tipsy IV drinks give no buff. Hover over the effect to see what your level does.
  • One drink too many at the top level and you black out: you keel over with stars circling your head and wake up somewhere. There are more ways to wake up than you’d think (advancements Where Am I? and Lost Weekend, server option blackout).
  • Mugs are crafted from glass, 5 glass for 3 mugs, like wine glasses.
  • Weathering patina on the Brew Kettle like vanilla copper, and clear glassware on tables with the drink showing through.
  • New drinks: white grapes (their own bush, wild where it’s a little cooler, a crate) for White Wine; Mead from honey bottles; and Hard Cider from Apple Juice, without Farmer’s Delight too (FD’s apple cider still makes the same cider). New advancements Mead Hall and Cider House; Vintner now asks for white wine.
  • Every juice now lowers Tipsy by one, not just grape juice. The old grape blocks are named Red Grape Bush, Red Grape Vine, Wild Red Grapes and Red Grape Crate.
  • The Brew Kettle works like a cauldron: right-click it with a bottle or bucket to fill it. Its screen keeps the ingredients, heat and progress and shows the brew in a gauge; a finished brew waits under the raised lid in its colour. Hoppers feed ingredients and empty containers in and pull the filled ones out below.
  • Works with AppleSkin (wheat beer’s food preview), Tough As Nails, Homeostatic and Thirst Was Taken 2 (drinks quench thirst), Nutritional Balance and Spice of Life Onion.
  • Village taverns in all five village types, each built in its village’s style: a hanging sign, a terrace with tables of drinks, a barrel stack under the eaves, a smoking chimney, a bar with the kettle and shelves of mugs and glasses, and a cellar. Their barrels hold a few drinks ready to tap.
