Compatibility
Vine & Barrel 0.9.0+neoforged.1 runs on Minecraft 26.3 with NeoForge 26.3.0.101 or newer. It needs no other mods. Everything below is optional and switches on by itself when the other mod is installed.
Farmer’s Delight
Section titled “Farmer’s Delight”Stove heat, vines on ropes, rich soil, drinks from FD’s bottles and two cooking pot meals. See Farmer’s Delight.
JEI shows a Brew Kettle and an Aging Barrel recipe category, with brewing times and the days each stage takes, plus info pages for the barrel and for the wild crops. Built against JEI 31.14.0.72.
Look at a kettle or barrel to see what’s inside: the brew or drink, the servings left, how far the brew has got, whether the kettle is heated, and what stage the barrel is at. Built against Jade 26.3.5+neoforge.
AppleSkin
Section titled “AppleSkin”AppleSkin’s food tooltip and hunger bar preview work for everything you can eat or drink. Juices and the meals show their
own food.
Wheat Beer feeds through its Saturation buff, so AppleSkin shows what that buff fills: 5
hunger and 10 saturation, or 8 and 16 for
Aged Wheat Beer. The other
wines, beers, ciders and meads don’t feed you, so they show no food. Built against AppleSkin 3.0.10.
Thirst
Section titled “Thirst”With Tough As Nails, Homeostatic or Thirst Was Taken 2, the drinks quench thirst: juices a lot, wines, beers, ciders and mead a little, aged ones a bit more than young ones. In the mods that count food too, Wine-Braised Beef counts like a stew and grapes, red or white, like sweet berries.
| Tough As Nails thirst, hydration | Homeostatic water, saturation | Thirst Was Taken 2 thirst, quenched | |
|---|---|---|---|
| 7, 50% | 4, 1.0 | 6, 4 | |
| 3, 20% | 2, 0.4 | 4, 2 | |
| 2, 10% | 1, 0.2 | 3, 1 | |
| – | 3, 0.7 | 4, 2 | |
| – | 2, 0.3 | 2, 0 | |
| – | 2, 0.6 | – |
Tough As Nails only counts drinks. Tested with Tough As Nails 21.11.0.11, Homeostatic 2.13.1.0 and Thirst Was Taken 2 1.10.0.
Nutritional Balance
Section titled “Nutritional Balance”Each food and drink counts toward Nutritional Balance’s food groups:
- Carbs:
Barley,
Barley Ale,
Aged Barley Ale,
Wheat Beer,
Aged Wheat Beer,
Beer-Battered Fish - Fruits:
Red Grapes,
White Grapes,

Melon Wine,
Aged Melon Wine,
White Wine,
Aged White Wine - Proteins:
Beer-Battered Fish,
Wine-Braised Beef - Sugars:
Mead,
Aged Mead - Vegetables:
Wine-Braised Beef
Wines, beers, ciders and mead have no food value of their own (wheat beer fills you through its Saturation buff, which these mods don’t count), so only the grapes, juices and meals fill your groups. Raw barley counts as carbs, so anything another mod makes from it does too. Tested with Nutritional Balance 10.0.1.
Every drink and food also carries NeoForge’s common tags (drinks, juices, fruit, soups), so other mods that read those see them as what they are.
Spice of Life Onion
Section titled “Spice of Life Onion”Works as it is. The meals count toward your food variety like any food. Drinks have no food value of their own (wheat beer’s Saturation buff doesn’t count), so like Farmer’s Delight’s drinks they add no variety. Tested with Spice of Life Onion 1.6.0.
Biomes O’ Plenty
Section titled “Biomes O’ Plenty”Wild crops grow in every biome tagged as a forest, plains, savanna, river or mountain slope (where the temperature suits them), so modded biomes with those tags get them automatically. With Biomes O’ Plenty they also grow in a few biomes that suit them:
Wild Barley: Field, Pasture and Prairie
Wild Red Grapes: Mediterranean Forest and Orchard
Wild Hops: Woodland and Seasonal Forest
Wild White Grapes: Lavender Field and Lavender Forest
Serene Seasons
Section titled “Serene Seasons”With Serene Seasons, each crop grows in its own seasons:
Red Grapes: autumn
White Grapes: autumn
Hops: summer and autumn
Barley Seeds: spring and summer
