Configuration
Vine & Barrel has two config files, both about Tipsy. Everything else, from recipes to how long a barrel takes, works the way the mod ships and can be changed with a datapack like any recipe.
Server options
Section titled “Server options”In vineandbarrel-tipsy-server.toml, section [tipsy]. The server’s values go to every
player who joins, so everyone plays by the same rules.
| Option | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
enabled | true | false is the non-alcoholic mode: drinks never make you tipsy, but keep their buffs and names. Switching it off mid-game takes Tipsy away from everyone at once. |
maxLevel | 51 to 5 | The highest level drinks can stack to. A lower cap also leaves out everything above it (no-buff, slurred chat, Rowdy, stumbling). |
secondsPerLevel | 901 to 3600 | How long each level lasts before it drops by one. |
slurredChat | true | Slurred chat from level 4. |
stumbling | true | The small sideways stumble at level 5. |
blackout | true | Black out after one drink too many at the top level. |
rowdy | true | From level 4: now and then a wild punch at whoever is in front, and villagers and traders refuse to trade. |
Client options
Section titled “Client options”In vineandbarrel-tipsy-client.toml, section [tipsy]. Each player sets these for
themselves; they only change what you see.
| Option | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
wobbleIntensity | 10 to 2 | Camera sway strength: 0 turns it off (for motion sickness), 2 doubles it. It always wins over the server. |
otherPlayersSway | true | Show tipsy players swaying, yourself in third person included. |
visionEffects | true | The darker screen edges and the heavy-eyed blinks. |
