Differences from the original

Farmer’s Delight Neoforged is vectorwing’s Farmer’s Delight, brought to Minecraft 26.x on NeoForge. It has the content of Farmer’s Delight 1.3.4, so if you know the original, you already know this mod. This page covers the few places where it’s different.

The crops, meals, blocks and recipes are the same, with the same names. Switching over is safe:

  • Remove the original Farmer’s Delight and add this one. Your worlds keep their kitchens, farms and chests.
  • Datapacks, add-on recipes and scripts made for Farmer’s Delight keep working, because every item and recipe keeps its name.
  • Canvas Signs from older worlds keep their text, and old Baskets load as Bamboo Baskets.
  • Your old config file is still read, under the same name.
  • REI support on Minecraft 26.1.2 and newer, next to JEI. See Compatibility.

  • Fixes for problems the original still has, from its issue tracker:

    • Rope Fences and Rope Fence Gates count as fences and fence gates, so recipes and mods that want “any fence” take them.
    • The Stove can be lit with any fire starter, including Fire Charges and other mods’ flint and steel.
    • Farmer villagers can compost Cabbage Seeds and Tomato Seeds.
    • Shift-clicking meals out of the Cooking Pot counts toward your crafting statistics.
    • Modpacks can make their own grasses drop Straw by adding them to one tag.
    • Updated translations: Russian, Rusyn, Mexican Spanish, Indonesian, Turkish, Ukrainian and Brazilian Portuguese.
  • Village farms in every kind of village grow Farmer’s Delight crops (Villagers). In the original, plains and taiga farms never get cabbages and the other crops are rare.

Everything else that changed, release by release, is in the changelog.
