Stove

The
Stove is a brick cooker with two jobs. Its top is a grill that cooks 6 items at once,
anything a campfire can cook. And the whole block is a heat source for a
Cooking Pot or
Skillet set on top. It is placed already burning and gives light level
13 while lit.

Grilling
Section titled “Grilling”Right-click the Stove with raw food to lay one item on the grill. Do it again to fill the next spot, up to 6. Each item has its own timer, and when it is done the cooked food pops up off the grill for you to pick up. Food that can’t be grilled isn’t placed; you just use it as normal.

6 grill slots, 1 item each,
filled in order 1 to 6
You can’t take raw food back off by hand. Let it finish, break the Stove, or cover its top (below) to get it back. The grill gives no experience.
Lighting and putting it out
Section titled “Lighting and putting it out”| To | Use | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| light it | 1 durability | |
| light it | Fire Charge | 1 fire charge |
| put it out | 1 durability | |
| put it out | the bucket is emptied |
While the Stove is out, food stays on the grill but stops cooking. It loses progress twice as fast as it gained it, down to raw, and picks up again once you relight:
Keep the top clear
Section titled “Keep the top clear”Anything in the block above that reaches down to the grill covers it, and a covered grill drops all its food and takes no new food. That includes a Cooking Pot or Skillet on the Stove, so a Stove either grills or heats a pot, never both at once. Carpets and bottom slabs cover it too; thin blocks that stay clear of the middle of the grill don’t.

Recipes
Section titled “Recipes”The grill runs every campfire recipe in the game, including the 7 the mod adds. Each of them takes 30 seconds on the grill. The same food cooks much faster in a Skillet.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- Hot feet. A lit Stove burns anything standing on it for ½ heart at a time. Sneak to walk across safely. Fire Resistance protects you too. The burn has no knockback.
- Mobs avoid it. Mobs walk around a lit Stove as if it were fire.
- Breaking it drops the Stove and whatever is on the grill.
- No hoppers. Hoppers can’t load or unload the grill. For automatic cooking, put a Cooking Pot on the Stove instead.
- Any water bucket works, modded ones included. In creative mode, lighting and putting out cost nothing.
