Hunger is what a food fills on your hunger bar; one shank is 2. Saturation keeps you full before the bar starts dropping, but you can never have more saturation than hunger, so high-saturation food pays off most when you eat it hungry. Nourishment stops your hunger bar from draining and comes in 4 lengths: 30 seconds, 1 minute, 3 minutes, 5 minutes. Bowls and bottles come back when you finish a meal or drink, even from a full stack.
