Pies & cakes

Pies are food you place. Set one down and it becomes a block with 4 slices that you eat straight off the plate or cut off with a knife. The mod has 4 pies, and it lets you slice the vanilla Cake the same way: a whole cake gives 7 slices.

Cutting slices

Place the pie on a solid block. Then right-click it holding any knife: one slice pops out toward you and the pie shows one bite more. The last slice removes the block. A vanilla Pumpkin Pie places as a pie block too when you right-click a block with it; aim at the air to eat it instead.

Eating from the pie

Right-click a placed pie with an empty hand to eat one bite. A bite feeds you exactly like eating one slice, Speed included, and the pie loses a slice; the last bite removes the block. You have to be hungry, just like eating anything else. It’s the quickest way to share a pie: put it on the table and everyone helps themselves.

Slices

Each slice is a quick snack with a short burst of Speed. The Speed has no particles or icon, so don’t be surprised when you can’t see it. Slices also craft back into a whole pie.

Whole	Slice	Food	Effect	Eat time
Apple Pie	Slice of Apple Pie	3 hunger 1.8 saturation	Speed0:30	0.8 s
Chocolate Pie	Slice of Chocolate Pie	3 hunger 1.8 saturation	Speed0:30	0.8 s
Pumpkin Pie	Slice of Pumpkin Pie	3 hunger 1.8 saturation	Speed0:30	0.8 s
Sweet Berry Cheesecake	Slice of Sweet Berry Cheesecake	3 hunger 1.8 saturation	Speed0:30	0.8 s
Cake	Slice of Cake	2 hunger 0.4 saturation	Speed0:20	0.8 s

Slices stack to 64.

Breaking a pie

Break a placed pie with a knife and you get one slice for every slice left on it. Break it with anything else, even your fist, and nothing drops: the pie is gone. So always pick up a pie with a knife, or cut it up first.

Cakes and candle cakes

With a knife in hand:

Cake. Right-click it and one Slice of Cake drops while the cake loses a bite. Keep going and you get 7 slices from a whole cake. Breaking a cake with a knife also gives you every slice that’s left on it.
Candle cake. Right-click it and it drops its candle and one slice, and turns into a cake with one bite taken. Breaking a candle cake with a knife gives 7 slices on top of the candle.
