Nourishment

Nourishment is the reward for a proper meal: while it lasts, your hunger bar doesn’t go down.

What it does

26 foods give Nourishment, for 30 seconds up to 5 minutes.

While you have Nourishment, your hunger bar doesn’t go down, however much you run, jump or fight. If you’re hurt, the game still spends your saturation on healing you as usual. Once that’s gone, your hunger stays where it is and you keep healing until the effect runs out (as long as your hunger bar is full enough to heal at all, as in vanilla).

• You can always eat. While Nourished you can eat even with a full hunger bar, so you can top it up with another meal before it runs out.
• Golden hunger bar. A gilded overlay covers the hunger bar while you’re Nourished. You can hide it in the client config.
• No natural regeneration? If the natural regeneration game rule is off, Nourishment freezes your hunger even when you are hurt.

How long it lasts

Every Farmer’s Delight food gives Nourishment for one of 4 set times. Bigger meals last longer:

Rabbit Stew is special: the Rabbit Stew buff, on by default, gives it the bigger food values shown above and its own Nourishment, even if the vanilla soup option is off. You can switch the buff off in theconfig.
