Getting started
Farmer’s Delight adds a kitchen to Minecraft. You grow four new crops, cook meals in a pot over a fire, cut ingredients on a board and set out feasts for your friends. The food is worth it: most meals grant Nourishment, which stops your hunger bar from going down while it lasts.

What the mod adds
Section titled “What the mod adds”
A kitchen- The Cooking Pot turns ingredients into meals over a heat source. The Stove grills six things at once, the Skillet cooks in your hand, and the Cutting Board cuts food and blocks into parts.
New crops- Cabbage, tomatoes, onions and rice. You find them first as wild crops out in the world. Organic Compost slowly turns into Rich Soil, which helps crops grow and lets you farm mushroom colonies.
Better food- Most meals give Nourishment for 30 seconds to 5 minutes: while it lasts, your hunger bar doesn’t go down. Big dishes become feasts you place and share, and pies are eaten slice by slice.
Knives- Knives get ham from pigs, straw from grass and slices from cakes, and they’re what the Cutting Board needs for most food.
